SEAFARING ADVENTURES AWAIT YOU: CHARTERS FOR GROUPS & INDIVIDUALS
Weather permitting, the Telstar offers two charters daily, both leaving from Noyo Harbor. A minimum of FIVE (5) PEOPLE is required for the morning trip and SIX (6) PEOPLE for the afternoon trip due to rising fuel costs. Prices listed below are for individuals. For group and special charter rates, please contact us.
- First Charter: Leaves Noyo Harbor at 7 a.m.
- Second Charter: Leaves Noyo Harbor at 1 p.m.
All prices listed below include poles and bait. Fishing licenses are
REQUIRED
and available at the harbor. Salmon are cleaned on-board, free of charge, and can be steaked or filleted for
$3.00 a piece. All prices are subject to availability and may change, so for more information, we encourage you to get in touch!

Telstar Charters is run by Captain Randy Thornton and his wife, Charan. With over 25 years of fishing experience, Captain Randy began his journey as a deckhand in Westport, Washington, at just 8 years old. Since then, he has mastered fishing for salmon, rock cod, albacore, and halibut.
In 1985, Randy earned his 100-Ton Ocean Operator’s License and spent over a decade working on charter boats in Fort Bragg. In 1997, he and Charan purchased the Telstar, becoming part of the local fishing fleet. Today, the Telstar team, including their son Sean, is committed to delivering a personalized and professional experience. From fishing to whale watching, Randy’s main goal is to ensure everyone has fun and catches big fish. The Telstar is Coast Guard-certified and equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and safety gear for your comfort and security.
